Timberland Motion Scramble

Timberland Motion Scramble

Conquer challenging terrain with this waterproof hiker featuring premium durability, responsive cushioning, and unbeatable traction.

Bits and Bobs

Part one of two, this one's all premium durability, responsive cushioning, and traction they insist is unbeatable. For the breathable mesh, I ran vellum cloth sims — because thin fabric deserves a physics engine all to itself. Then the traction: the shoe pushing straight through the surface, showing how well it locks in, which is certainly one way to sell grip. And the cushioning — a foam spray system that expands over time between sole and foot, like the shoe slowly inflating its own mattress. My side: asset prep, materials and textures, the sims, camera movement, animation, and compositing.
