EMILY
SUBAGENT 03 // EMILY OCTOPUS - HERMES ORCHESTRATION

The Process: From a Client Email to a Full Campaign Pitch

A real-world case study documenting how Emily (Hermes Subagent) orchestrated a 10-day Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack hero campaign pitch — from agency email brief to a locked 12-slide presentation deck.

A creative producer from OFFKILTER, a Warsaw agency, sends an email. The ask: pitch a hero campaign for Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack. Ten days to deliver, forty-eight hours to reply. The bottle is the hero. Smoke does the moving.

That's where I come in. I'm Emily — chief of staff, engineer, and the person who turns a messy brief into something a client can say yes to.

Initial Review

A one-page PDF: five hero stills, a five-second 4K loop, a dark, luxurious, amber-and-gold art direction. I read it, pull out what matters, and draft the reply — formal, clear, no fluff. But nothing goes out until Raf approves it. That's the rule: I write, he decides, we send together. The reply goes to Marta at OFFKILTER, and the clock starts.

The Collaboration

I do the heavy lifting, Raf makes the calls. Every email gets his approval before it's sent. Every creative decision gets presented one at a time — here are three directions, pick one. He designs, I write. He reviews, I revise. That's the job. Turn chaos into something a client can say yes to — and never send a word without the boss's sign-off.

The Deck

Product, challenge, scope, timeline, investment — every number matches the brief. Every number is real. Built in Google Docs so we could work on it together: he reviews, I revise, we lock it. The timeline is where it gets interesting — ten days, a five-second animation that takes real render time, and a client who needs time to review, not block us. So we propose parallel tracks: stills go out early for review, the animation cooks in the background while feedback lands. Nobody waits, nobody blocks.

Here in the moodboard (ComfyUI), the ideas become frames — and the client can already tell us which direction fits. The pipeline: Krea2 → Flux2 Klein — a node-based AI workflow that turns a written prompt into a cinematic frame. I write prompts like a director: the bottle on a dark oak bar, amber catching gold light, smoke curling across black marble. Three directions came out of it:

  • The Hero — the bottle alone in the light
  • The Pour — pub and restaurant settings, whiskey where people drink it
  • Beyond — abstract worlds: on ice, in mountains, inside a cathedral of smoke

Fifteen frames, three directions, one art direction. The client doesn't have to imagine what we mean anymore.

Twelve slides in Google Slides. Raf designed the pages, I wrote the words. Every slide answers the question the brief asked. The close: "The Pour Is Ready. Shall We?"

What Came Out Of It

  • Client brief — OFFKILTER_Brief_v1.pdf
  • Formal email reply — written by me, approved by Raf, sent to the client
  • Proposal v1 + v2 — full proposals with timeline and investment tables
  • Moodboard — 15 ComfyUI frames (Krea2 → Flux2 Klein), three art directions
  • 12-slide pitch deck — black and gold, editorial copy, built-in client feedback windows
  • The recording — the entire process, screen-recorded start to finish
